This woke me up at 2:30am so I had to share it with you. It's important.
Your favourite chocolate company is going out of business. Tomorrow. Get to the supermarket and grab all you can. Sure, it might be past the use-by date by the time you get through it all, and maybe it'll get those little white splotches on it that chocolate gets if you leave it for too long. It won't be perfect. But you love chocolate, so you don't care.
One day, sooner or later, each one of us will "go out of business". Maybe we won't have time to grab all we can before we go. Maybe, like the chocolate, you have some of those little white splotches. Or there's a little extra oozing out the side of the wrapper. Maybe the wrapper needs updating, a new style or colour. But tell me this: which would you prefer - your favourite, never-to-be-seen-again chocolate with a few little white splotches and an outdated wrapper, or no chocolate at all?
If you're anything like me, you want the splotchy chocolate. And one day, when you go "out of business", someone who loves you will think you and your outdated wrapper is the best thing ever.
Don't wait for perfection. It never comes. Go. Right now. Get your camera or your phone, go find someone you love, and take a picture together. I don't care if your hair is a mess or you're not wearing any make-up. News flash: You're. Not. Perfect. None of us are, or ever will be. But you are gorgeous.
And the splotchy chocolate is still delicious.
